Nice

Breckenridge

We had a nice time in Breckenridge this past weekend. It was where my wife wanted to go. We left Abe with one of the sets of grandparents and enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing time. We both really missed Abe and it was good to get back.

The Breckenridge area is quite beautiful and the weather was great. Highs were in the 60s or 70s and lows were in the 40s. We spent some time walking on trails in the mountains and my wife spent a surprisingly small amount of money.

We visited the Barney Ford Museum and the Country Boy Mine and both were very interesting. We also saw a play at the Backstage Theater. It had probably been years since I sat through an entire production as audience member.

Another greenlight on Fark.com !

I'm creeping up on half a dozen. I think I found a decent way to uncover newly published articled. I believe this has been key to my success. Or maybe the Fark Administrators are just being kind.

Oh, and Meatloaf is awful.

I'm easily excited by the little things.

For those of you who haven't ever visited FARK.COM I highly recommend it. Even if you never get into the comments, the headline queue is one of the best places for news aggregation. And the photoshop contests are fun to watch.

I've added some new links to the sidebar.

The link for Art historical images points to a site created by Dr. Mary Ann Sullivan. Dr. Sullivan taught English at Bluffton College (I still can't bring myself to refer to it as a University) for many years. I was fortunate enough to be part of a group from Bluffton, led by Dr. Sullivan, that studied in Poland during the Spring of 1993. The site is an amazing collection of photographs taken by Mary Ann.

I've also added a link to KBCU . KBCU is the Bethel College radio station. I was the Program Director for the station when I was in school and consider it one of the best experiences I've ever had. The medium of Radio is a mess right now. KBCU is one of the great stations still on the air.
